FAQs

  • The admission process for new kindergarten applicants begins the year prior to entry. While we encourage families to look at Holy Spirit Catholic School early, we do not accept applications until the end of January of the year before the student will enroll. Preschool admission begins at the end of January and continues throughout the school year (if openings exist).

  • We strongly encourage parents to submit their application as soon as they are able to ensure a spot for their child.

Completed registration forms and a $300 enrollment fee can be addressed to:

    Holy Spirit Catholic School

    ATTN: Dr. Jennifer Krieger (K-8)

    ATTN: Maria Smith (preschool)

    515 Albert Street South

    Saint Paul, MN 55116

  • Letters of admission or letters regarding the status of admission are sent within two weeks of receiving the application.

  • Call us old-fashioned, but we want to give you an opportunity to meet us in-person and get the feel of our school and community before you apply. To request registration material, call our school office at (651) 698-3353. Better yet, schedule a personal tour or a shadow experience. Half or full day shadow experiences are available to students enrolled in grades 1-7. This allows prospective students to have a genuine school day experience.

  • Our annual tuition is set after careful analysis and thoughtful consideration. The financial impact of tuition on our families is a major part of these considerations. We do not want to lose any family due to financial concerns. 2024-2025 tuition rates and financial aid options are available here.

  • The annual non-refundable family enrollment fee is $300 and will be charged to tuition accounts in March.

Additional fees relate to optional programs, such as:

    Preschool Breakfast & Lunch Bunch

    Hot Lunch (K-8)

    Band (4-8)

    Extended Day (K-5)

    Holy Spirit Theatre (5-8)

Athletics (6-8; except swimming which is K-8)

  • In keeping with a long tradition within Catholic education, Holy Spirit Catholic School students are expected to wear uniforms on all days when school is in session. Exceptions (out-of-uniform days) will be announced in the weekly newsletter. Uniforms lend dignity and discipline to the process of education and identify Holy Spirit as a school community. The uniform policy can be found here.
