ATHLETICS

An education at Holy Spirit Catholic School aims to develop the whole child. While we offer a strong academic program, students are also involved in a wide range of activities, including athletics. We offer: baseball, basketball, hockey, ski club, soccer, softball, swimming, track, and volleyball. Holy Spirit participates in the Catholic Athletic Association.

Volleyball

The Holy Spirit Girls' Volleyball teams are open to students in grades 5–8. Teams practice once or twice a week and play two matches a week. Practice days and times have not been determined. Players are expected to consistently attend practices and matches. Repeatedly missing practice may result in less playing time.

Matches
Matches begin the week of Sept. 19 and are usually played on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The fee for volleyball is $100. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Aug. 24. Register online. The fee will be applied to the student's Blackbaud tuition account. There is a $25 late fee when registering after the deadline, provided that the team is not full. Reduction in fee will not be granted for absences due to illness, injury, conflicts, vacations, deciding not to participate after the season has started, or inability to participate due to academic ineligibility.

Volunteer Scorekeepers
The league requires the home team to operate the scoreboard. Each family will be required to volunteer to operate the scoreboard for a home match.

Soccer

The Holy Spirit Soccer program is open to students in grades 6–8. Teams will practice once or twice a week. Players are expected to consistently attend practices. Repeatedly missing practice may result in less playing time during games.
